I just found an exciting new site, Pixer.us. It is an online AJAX photo editor. I only know one other online photo editor which is phixr.com and it is better than that. So, how good is this? It is extremely fast and highly intuitive (because they were sensible enough to use text buttons rather than icons). Its functions are limited but the effects available are fun to play with. The picture below was created in less than 10 seconds using only brightness and contrast effects (that’s less than time that takes to start up Adobe Photoshop on most machines) and the resulting effect is not too bad for quick photo sharing.
The cropping and resizing tools could also be useful for quick photo editing. Once you are done editing, you can download the file in four formats. But by no means, is it a replacement for desktop image editors. In the future, more features can be expected. I would especially like a shape drawing tool as well as text box insertion.

there are several more image editors you can look at.
http://snipshot.com/ – cleaner than pixer.us, but fewer functions.

—
http://pxn8.com/ – highly functional
—
http://www.webpictool.com/?l=1### – also highly functional
—
http://preloadr.com/ – advanced editing with layers and opacity. tied to flickr account. if you don’t have a flickr account, you should get a free one just to experience this very cool app.
