It is that time of the year again. Summer. Holidays. Now, there is some time to ponder about the last six months, to lament over the mistakes and to reminisce the successes. When you are a teenager, the mistakes probably outweigh the successes. Thus, holidays allow me the opportunity to make up for my mistakes and turn over a new leaf. That is exactly what I want to do with this blog.
“The beginning is the most important part of the work.“— Plato
I made a number of mistakes with this blog. Firstly, I wrote for an audience, I tried to get on Digg and I worked hard for more subscribers. That alone is probably the worst mistake a writer can make. I was immature last year and I got excited more easily and often. As a result, the blog was filled with useless crap that could possibly get on the front page of Digg. I regret what I did last time round and from today, I will write for myself. I will write only about stuff that I am truly interested in. I am sure both the language and the content of the writing will be much better this way.
I am also guilty of another crime that is also too common among bloggers today, the crime of not posting frequently. So, I will try to post at least twice every week during school semester. During the term breaks, I will try to post daily. But then again, I will not post for the sake of posting. I will post only when I really have something to say.
Previously, I blogged only about tech-related ideas and news on this blog. I often thought of starting a separate blog for my rants on everyday philosophy but over the last few weeks, I have decided that I will post everything I have to say to the world on a single blog—this blog.
